Why “Compleat”
In 1653, Izaak Walton published “The Compleat Angler,” which reveals deeper insights about the virtues of connecting to the world around us, and the contentment found in giving oneself entirely to a focused pursuit that simultaneously provides an intensely relaxed and contemplative state. While originally simply an archaic spelling, as a result of Walton’s book, “compleat” has commonly come to refer to “someone who has all of the necessary elements of a particular craft.” We can think of no better way to describe a leader who has achieved their full capacity to perform.
